Mark/I have been working with the soccer ministry at our church and we had our first game just recently. We packed about 20 boys (with cleats, uniforms, water, bags) into a 15-passenger van to head to a stadium on the eastern part of the Ozama River.
After the past three months of practice, it was fun to see them all suited up in uniforms and playing together. As you can see from the photo, the front of their jerseys read "ICC" which is the name of our church. I've kind of become the team mom; I hold bracelets, cell phones and pat them all on the back at the end of the games. We love working with these boys! The three boys in the photos are Moises, Marcelino and Isidro.
