Since we haven't owned a TV for the past 10 weeks, I've had more time to read books. It has been wonderful. This has been my favorite story so far (and I highly highly recommend it if you're a woman); in addition, we have a special ministry at our local church called "Tienda Roja" which means "Red Tent" and it has been themed after this book. The story is extra-Biblical, taking place during the time of Jacob and Esaul and is about the daughter of Leah named Diana. The book is about women, their relationships and lives during the time. In line with the book, the minstry provides a special place for the under-resourced women of the Colonial Zone (our area) to come and be loved on with free massages, manicures, haircuts, craft making and prayer. Being pampered is not something that many women here have the possibtility to do, so it is a huge gift and amazing outreach to the community!
