Parade on Independencia

I just heard a full band (trumpets, snare drum, the works!) outside of our house this morning! I peeked out the window to see it was the army in full fatigues walking down Parque Indenpendencia with about 500 kids, clapping, following them in their school uniforms! It's sometimes funny to live somewhere new and not know the holidays... I can't wait to ask my Spanish teacher today if she has an idea of what it was all about! The band sounded great!
