Celebration of Hope at Willow Creek

During the month of April, Willow Creek is hosting their third annual "Celebration of Hope" -- where the focus will be on compassion/justice in a needy world. Mark/I have been working very hard on a few projects for this event: a fair trade clothing line (Peralta -- look to the left), videos about what is happening in the DR, providing serving/funding opportunities for neighborhoods around Willow Creek.

The church will have the following opportunities, through Celebration of Hope 08: Hunger, to respond to those in hunger by participating in three challenges:

Challenge: Limit Your Consumption
Limit your spending for three short weeks and donate what you’ve saved.

Challenge: Provide Meals for Others
Pack nutrient-rich meal packs that will feed 10,000 children in Zimbabwe for one year.

Challenge: Experience the Market
Make an investment in the lives of artisans in developing countries by shopping for and learning about Fair Trade Certified goods and microenterprise. The World Market will be open in Willow Creek's Lobby on April 26-27, April 30 and May 3-4.
