Soccer Team Honored

Our church celebrated its 11th anniversary to-the-day last night. It was a great time. Part of the service was to highlight different ministries, and our soccer team had a special debut! Made up primarily of street kids and kids from rough barrios, I was so proud of them and how they behaved on stage! As you can see from the photo, they looked all sparkly and nice in their ICC (our church) uniforms and had huge smiles. It may have been one of the only times in their lives they received a standing ovation for just being who they are!!!

And shhhh... here's a secret. My dad purchased 70-some water bottles (found them at a great price), his missions trip team filled them with candy, and we are going to give them out as Christmas gifts to the kids! They are going to love it!
